The Vaping Corner #1 – Getting Started with Vaping
It’s January, maybe your new year’s resolution is to cut down smoking or even stop all together. You’ve more than likely heard of Vaping by now, since it rose to popularity in 2013, you may have even tried it out before. In fact, people tend to use vaping as a cigarette alternative for a plethora of reasons but the transition to vaping may seem quite complex with such a wide variety of devices and liquids available on the ever-growing market for e-cigarettes.
Back in 2015, Public Health England conducted a study that revealed vaping was 95% safer than smoking actual cigarettes; the 5% of danger hasn’t correlated to any deaths whatsoever and is instead just representative of the dangers of nicotine addiction. When compared to the Office for National Statistics 80,000 deaths in England attributable to smoking over a year, then you would think that this is enough to convince any smoker to start vaping.
If you aren’t quite sure where to start, Woody, our resident vaping expert suggests working out how many cigarettes you smoke a day – this can then be used to work out which vaping starter kit would benefit yourself the most. He warns that vaping may not be for everybody or even satisfy the cravings for a cigarette all the time, but there’s no harm in trying it out.
‘Some people may feel like they don’t smoke enough daily to warrant spending the extra money on an e-cigarette and liquid, but these people are often the people who will benefit most from vaping’ Woody says ‘The starters kits are very affordable starting from around £6 and then it’s simply a case of buying the juices – which have a wide range of flavours’
If you feel like maybe it’s time to kick the smoking habit, then visit Woody’s Vapes in Unit 12/13 inside New Watford Market, where he’ll happily talk you through starting vaping, teach you how to properly maintain a vape and allow you to sample a few flavours.
